14 days Casablanca Morocco desert trip

Day 01: Casablanca Airport- Fez:

As you arrive to the airport of Casablanca, our driver will be waiting to meet you. As soon as you meet, you will be picked up driven to Fez. On our way to Fez, we will drive through Rabat (Capital) where to see some of its historical landmarks such as Oudaya Kasbah, Hassan Tower and Mohamed V mausoleum. After so, we head off to Fez via free fast road. Arrive to Fez and check into our hotel/riad.


Day 02: Fez guided walking tour:

After breakfast in your Riad, our local guide will meet you at the reception to start exploring the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its alleys and small streets. You will visit the most historical monuments in the medina: The Royal Palace gate, the Jewish headquarter (the first Mellah ever built in Morocco). We will ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interests including the famous Al Qaraouine University; the oldest in the region (if not in the universe), the Tanneries… After lunch, you will visit the tiles cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes. Back to the hotel.


Day 03: Fez- Ifran- Cedar Forest- Ziz Valley- Erfoud- Merzouga (night in hotel) :

Pick you from the hotel, and drive to Sahara Desert via Ifran and Cedar forest. On the way Fez- Merzouga we will drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains to arrive to Ifran ‘Moroccan swiss’ because of its building architecture and snow too. Here we make a short stop for a coffee, before we go ahead to cedar forest where to see barbary macaques. Later on, we continue our journey to Midelt where probably have lunch, then we cross High Atlas Mountains with altitude of 1907m to arrive to Ziz Valley which is the 2nd largest valley in Morocco. Subsequently, we go through this vallez to arrive to Erfoud which is the capital of fossils and dates. We arrive to Merzouga late afternoon and have night in the hotel.


Day 04: Sahara sightseeing & camel trek:

A visit to Morocco without being in Sahara Desert and a camel ride is definitely incomplet, therefore, today is dedicated just in desert area. We will take around visiting nomad families living in tents with their animals to see how really life is tough but happiness anyway. Then, we go to Gnaoua black people originated from sub-saharian countries, but because of segregation and mal-treatment they escaped and settled first like nomads working for other people, but today they have their spiritual authentic music to enjoy with, and then we get to go to Rissani town where surrounding area’s people come to get their life’s requirements. After we have lunch, we take you back to the Desert for your camel adventurous experience to spend night under Berber tents.


Day 05: Free day in Sahara Desert with a cooking class with a Berber family :

Today is a free day to relax and have walk in the dunes by your own. The hotel is located just by the dunes which gives you good opportunity to enjoy the dunes and feel the beauty of Sahara Desert. Also you have a big pool to swim and refresh your bodies. We will fix a time to go to visit a Berber family and have a cooking class with. Things are at your disposal and up to you. You all the time have options. Overnight at the hotel.


Day 06: Merzouga- Berber women cooperative of traditional clothes- Todra Gorges- Dades Valley:

We leave Sahara Desert probably by the 1st day of Ramadan. We drive to our next destination Dades Valley. We will pass via a women cooperative weaving all traditional Berber clothes and dresses, and then we continue to Todra Gorges where to have a walk and enjoy the view of water and mountains. Later on, we leave to Dades Valley where to spend overnight.


Day 07: Dades Valley- Rose Valley- Kasbah amridil- Ouarzazate :

Before we say goodbye to Dades Valley, we will first go to drive up to have a panoramic view of Dades Gorges and experience an overview of the whole valley, then we go to make a stop in « Monkey toes » which are rocks but looks like the toes of monkeys. Later on, we continue to Rose valley where to find all various products made out of rose. May is the season of flowers to bloom up and this certaintly will give a good view for the valley. Afterwards, we continue to Skoura where to see and visit an old kasbah of the 17th century « Kasbah Amridil » before we continue to Ouarzazate. This latter is the African Hollywood because many movies have been shot in the region. In Ouarzazate we will visit Taourirt Kasbah as well as Atlas Studio. Spend overnight in a Hotel/Riad.


Day 08: Ouarzazate- carpets cooprative- Ait Benhadou Kasbah- High Atlas Mountains- Maarakech :

In the morning, you have your breakfast and get ready for another exotic day. We will start our journey by visiting the Berber Traditional Carpet’s cooperative, and then we go ahead to Ait Benhadou Kasbah, the most well preserved historical land in the area. We will have time to walk through and discover the secrets of this iconiv fortress. Later on, we take our direction through High Atlas Mountais to Marrakech. Arrive to Marrakech afternoon and overnight in the Hotel/Riad.


Day 09: Marrakech Sightseeing:

After breakfast in riad, the official guide of the medina will meet you at the lobby and start your journey sightseeing of Marrakech “the red city of Morocco”. Marrakesh was founded during the XII century by Almoravidian dynasty. We will ensure on visiting the most important sites with historical and cultural importance. You will have great chance to visit Saadiyin Tombs, Koutoubia mosque (externe). Moreover, our guide will lead you to see Bahia Palace, The covered market of the Medina “Bazzar”, and then you go to join the famous square “Jamaa El Fna” of the medina where you will see and discover the fascinating serpent’s magician, “funny seminars” where some professional or humorous people tell fabulous and nice jokes, riddles… after lunch, we take you back to your hotel or leave you in the square. Free time yourselves.


Day 10: Marrakech- Essaouira:

We pick you up in the morning driving from Marrakech to Essaouira, along the way, you will be enjoy the sceneries of argan trees…we will stop in a woman argan cooperative to see the process of extracting argan oil out of argan seeds. Subsequently, we continue the day trip to our destination where to see and enjoy the coastal city. You will see the old medina, souk and the old harbor that was founded during Portuguese era….free time and overnight in Essaouira.


Day 11: Essaouira back to Marrakech:

You have free morning to walk around Essaouira. In the afternoon we drive back to Marrakech.


Day 12: Discover more of Marrakech & Ourika Valley:

After your breakfast, we pick you up from the hotel going on a day trip to Ourika Valley which one of the closest outlet to escape from the heavy traffic of Marrakech but to enjoy the natural fresh air. In Ourika, we will provide you a local guide to accompany you hike the mountains. The walk takes 2 hours. Back to restaurant for lunch and back to Marrakech.


Day 13: Marrakech- Casablanca:

After you have your breakfast and get ready, we pick you up from Hotel/Riad and we leave Marrakech for Casablanca. Casablanca is the largest and the economic capital of Morocco. In Casablanca, we will visit the 1st largest mosque in Morocco and 3nd in the world after Mecca & Medina. Later on, we will offer you a walk by the seashore and a stop at Rick’s café before we make it into the hotel.


Day 14: Transfer to airport:

Up to flight time, we pick you from hotel and drive you to airport. End of our services.
