10 Days Tour From Marrakech To Casablanca

Arrive in Marrakech and transfer to your riad in the medina. The rest of the day is free to rest after your journey, with an optional evening visit to Jemaa el-Fnaa square to take in the snake charmers, storytellers, and food stalls.

A full day of sightseeing in Marrakech: the Bahia Palace with its carved cedar ceilings and painted stucco, the exterior of the Koutoubia Mosque, the cobalt-blue gardens of Jardin Majorelle, and an afternoon exploring the medina souks.

Depart Marrakech and cross the High Atlas via the Tizi n'Tichka Pass, with stops at scenic viewpoints and Berber villages along the way. Arrive at Ait Ben Haddou, the fortified ksar used as a filming location for Gladiator and Game of Thrones, and take time to walk its earthen alleys and towers. Continue to Ouarzazate for an optional stop at the Atlas Film Studios before overnighting in the area.

Drive through the Skoura Oasis and its historic kasbahs, then the Valley of Roses at Kelaat M'Gouna, before arriving in Tinghir. In the afternoon, walk into Todra Gorge, where canyon walls rise some 300 meters overhead — one of the most dramatic landscapes in the Atlas.

Day 5: Continue east through the fossil towns of Erfoud and Rissani, arriving in Merzouga by early afternoon. Late in the day, set off by camel into the Erg Chebbi dunes, reaching a traditional Berber desert camp in time to watch the sunset over the Sahara. Dinner and overnight at the camp, with music around the campfire.

A full day to properly experience Merzouga. An optional sunrise excursion over the dunes, followed by a camel ride back to the village and a relaxed visit to a nomad family for mint tea. In the afternoon, head out by 4x4 for a dune-bashing and desert picnic experience — driving out across the open desert plateau and stopping for a lunch cooked fresh on the spot, not packed and handed to you.

Drive north from Merzouga through the palm groves of the Ziz Valley, the town of Midelt, and the Alpine-style scenery of the Middle Atlas near Ifrane, arriving in Fes by evening.

 A full day exploring Fes: the Fes el-Bali medina, one of the largest car-free urban areas in the world, the Chouara Tanneries viewed from a terrace, the Bou Inania Madrasa, a traditional ceramic workshop, and the historic Mellah quarter.

Depart Fes and drive toward the coast, stopping in Rabat to see the Kasbah of the Udayas, the Hassan Tower, and the Chellah necropolis. Continue on to Casablanca in the afternoon, with time for the Hassan II Mosque and a walk along the Corniche before your final overnight.

Transfer to the airport for departure from Casablanca, Marrakech, or Rabat, depending on your flight arrangements.
