Day 01: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ait Benhadou Kasbah – Dades Valley:
Following a morning pick-up from your accommodation, we will start our tour by heading deep into the High Atlas Mountains. Our trip will take us to travel along Tizi-n-Tichka mountain pass. First, we will visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, where locals and travelers alike have met to socialize and trade down the centuries, soak up the atmosphere at your leisure and then we will head to Ouarzazate for lunch at a local restaurant and then visit Taourirte Kasbah – a popular meeting place for people from the Atlas, Drâa and Dades valleys. In the afternoon, we will head onward with to the oasis of Skoura. You will have the chance to pause to admire the lush green palm trees rising like a mirage in the dry desert and then continue along the Dades River through deep gorges, where the ruins of ancient kasbahs lie among traditional Berber villages. You will arrive in the evening to Boumalne Dades, where dinner and accommodation await, and there you will spend the night at a hotel or riad.
Day 02: Boumalne Dades – Todra Gorges – Merzouga:
After breakfast at the hotel, we resume our trip and travel along the famous road of ‘1001 Kasbahs’ towards Todra Gorges where we will stroll through the oasis of Todra, where a deep crevasse in the orange limestone provides spectacular views. Later on, we will stop for lunch at your leisure in one of the local restaurants. In the afternoon, we will visit the holy town of Rissani — the origin of Morocco’s ruling royal family and the old capital of Tafilalet region. We continue to Merzouga, a small village sitting on the borders of the Sahara Desert. In Merzouga, we will set off toward Erg Chebbi and the camp at the heart of the desert. With traditional music from local nomads to entertain you, you will enjoy dinner and a lovely evening under the stars before we off to bed.
Day 03: Merzouga – Agdez – Ouarzazate – Marrakech:
Wake up early in the morning to attend and enjoy a spectacular sunrise, when the color of the dunes and the play of shadows are an awesome sight. Set up over the dunes, waiting for the sun to rise and meanwhile feel the cold morning breeze are feelings you will not find elsewhere but here in the Desert. After so, back to the camp for breakfast and shower, then get ready to leave the Desert back to Marrakech. Along the drive, we will stop in Ouarzazate for lunch, then head onward through the spectacular scenery of the High Atlas Mountains. Early evening, we arrive to Marrakech. Drop off at the hotel.
