Day 01: Fez – Ifran – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga:

Right after your breakfast, we pick you up from your accommodation in Fes and start our journey towards Sahara Desert. Our adventure will take us along the beautiful road to the South of the kingdom. Along the drive the landscape changes dramatically from the snowy hills of Ifrane – the cleanest city in Morocco – to the Cedar Forest of the Middle Atlas then ahead all the way to the harsh weather of the desert. Along the way we will stop in Ifran for a coffee and a short promenade, then we will stop to have pictures of the barbary macaques in the Cedar Forest. We then carry on our way via the city of Midelt – the capital of apple- and cross High Atlas Mountains to Join the green oasis of Awfous, one of the largest oases in North Africa. Our trip continues to Merzouga via the city of Erfoud. Upon our arrival to Merzouga, we check for our hotel which is nestled right beneath the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.

Day 02: Explore the Desert and the surroundings:

After the breakfast, today is dedicated to discover the the Desert. You will have a unique opportunity to visit Gnaoua village “Black people” originally from Mali, Niger…. They will entertain you with their authentic instruments. After spending a worthwhile moment with Gnaoua; we drive deep in the Desert for a panoramic view that shows the contrast of golden dunes with black volcanic rocks. Later on, a cup of tea with nomad family is worth to explore the way they survive and feel the harshness of life for being a nomad. We follow our passion to explore one of abandoned coal mines in the area. After lunch, you will camel trek crossing the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi to spend a night of your lifetime under the clear sky, in nomad tents in a camp in the middle of the desert.

Day 03: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges:

In order to attend one of the most beautiful sunrises in the world you will have to wake up early to catch the sun rises up from behind a seas of sand dunes. Such moments offer you great opportunity for lovely pictures of the desert. After so, you enjoy the breakfast in the camp. Later on, we will depart to Dades Gorges, including a visit to Rissani’s famous souk, the town where the Alaouist dynasty started ruling Morocco for 350 years ago until the actual time. Then we will pass though the town of Erfoud, very well-known with fossils, also an international dates festival takes place in this town. We continue our way through a desert-like landscape and villages to join the wonderful Todra Gorges, very beautiful canyons with 300m high cliffs and 20m wide mouth. We then hit the road to Dades. Overnight in the site.

Day 04: Dades – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhadou Kasbah – Marrakech:

After breakfast, we will depart to Marrakech including the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou via the Rose Valley including a stop at a rose distillation Unit in order to get a clear idea of how rose productions are manufactured. We then continue passing by the Skoura palm grove and the road of 1001 Kasbahs until we join Hollywood of Africa, the city of Ouarzazate. It is well-known for being the spot of the international movie makers and in which famous movies were filmed such as “The Mummy”,” Prince of Persia”, “Gladiator” and so many other movies. Then we continue our way to the famous UNESCO World Heritage site Ksar or Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a very wonderful fortified city that stands at the edge of a hill separated by a running Ounila river. We will explore the site and maybe have lunch before we drive via the Atlas Mountains to pass via one of the Morocco amazing roads, the Tichka Pass that stands in 2260m above sea level. Along the road, we will stop for a cup of coffee and a visit to the women Argan oil co-operative. After that we continue to join the red city. Drop off at your accommodation. End of our services.
