Day 01: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Kasbah Ait Benhadou – Dades Gorges:
We will start our journey from Marrakech heading to our destination Dades. We will travel across Tizi n Tichka pass 2260 metres altitude. It is a nice panoramic, impressive view which provides us with great opportunity to have some fabulous, memorable pictures. Our trip continues further south to the UNESCO heritage, Kasbah Ait Benhaddou. The site is one of the most exotic and best-preserved Kasbahs in the entire Atlas region. It is known for being the best area for Hollywood movie makers, as a list of films was filmed here such: Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. We will walk through the castle, and have lunch. After doing so, we continue our route towards Dades passing by Ouarzazate, Skoura oasis and Rose valley. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Dades Gorges – Todra Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga (Desert Camp):
After breakfast, our departure from the hotel at Dades valley will be around 08am. Our drive will take us via the ‘Road of the 1001 Kasbahs’, enjoying the colorful Berber villages of the valley. Afterwards, we arrive at Tinghir with its beautiful palm grove and Jewish vestiges. We continue to Todra Gorges where to have free time to go on a trek along the canyons of about 300 m high – a favorite place for rock climbers. Later on, we leave to Merzouga Sahara Desert for our camel ride. We will stop somewhere along the road for lunch before we make it to Erfoud – famous for its fossils factories. Then, we will head for the Erg Chebbi sand dunes where the camels are waiting to take us on an adventure in the Sahara. When we arrive at the camp, we will have dinner and enjoy drum music played around fire in the middle of the Sahara. This is a great opportunity to take lovely pictures and you will spend the night in nomad tents.
Day 03: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Anti Atlas Mountains – Ouarzazate:
You will wake up early morning to witness the glorious sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga. Breakfast is served right at the camp in the middle of the orange dunes. We pick you up from the camp and start our drive to Ouarzazate. We will drive to Rissani, a small Saharan town in southeast of Morocco. We can stop there to visit a fossil workshop before we continue to Agdez and Draa valley junction where we head north to Ouarzazate. In Agdez, we will have a pause to enjoy the beautiful views of the valley. After crossing the small volcanic Atlas Mountains, we finally arrive at our destination, Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight will be in the city.
Day 04: Ouarzazate – Marrakech:
Get up in the morning, have your breakfast and get ready to leave Ouarzazate. Before we leave, we go on a visit to discover cinema sets & studios located in Ouarzazate, a city known as the ‘Hollywood of Africa’. After doing so, we will take our way through the windy road of High Atlas Mountains and Tizi N Tichka pass. There will be a break for lunch in the middle of the Atlas Mountains. Early afternoon, arrive at Marrakech. End of our services.
